Why it matters

Mobile workforces, agents on the road, after-hours support, executives travelling, tradespeople on site, salespeople in the car - they all need a full phone system on a mobile device, not a watered-down “softphone with the basics”. The 3CX mobile app is the same phone system that runs on the desk, including queues, recording, transfer to colleagues, and CRM integration.

The killer feature for most customers: your personal mobile number is never exposed. Outbound calls show the business number. Customers don’t get your private mobile. When you leave, the company keeps the number history.

Common questions

Does it use my mobile data plan?
Calls go over the 3CX SIP connection, which can run over Wi-Fi or mobile data. A typical hour of calling uses 25–50 MB. We recommend Wi-Fi when available and 4G/5G otherwise - call quality on modern Australian mobile networks is excellent.
What if I leave the company?
Admin removes your extension; the app stops working. Your business numbers and call history stay with the business, not on your personal device.
Can I record calls on mobile?
Yes - call recording follows the 3CX system policy, regardless of which device the call is on. Recordings land in the same recording store with the same retention rules.
