5-step migration playbook

  1. Discovery + scope (Day 0)

    20-minute call. We confirm user count, current RingCentral plan, number list, must-have features. We quote your fixed monthly bundle and migration timeline.

  2. System build (Day 1–3)

    We provision your 3CX tenant, configure queues/IVR matching your current RingCentral structure, set up CRM integration, provision mobile/web apps for staff.

  3. Number port submission (Day 1–2, runs in background)

    We submit local-number portability (LNP) request to your current carrier. RingCentral typically releases numbers in 10–15 business days. We keep RingCentral running through this period.

  4. Parallel run + training (Day 4–10)

    Staff get the 3CX mobile/web app installed alongside RingCentral. Outbound starts flowing through 3CX; inbound still hits RingCentral until port completes. Training delivered in-person or via video.

  5. Cutover (Day 10–15)

    Port completes. Inbound calls flow to 3CX. RingCentral cancelled. We monitor for 7 days post-cutover and resolve any teething issues immediately.

Common questions

Will we miss calls during the migration?
No. We run both systems in parallel through the port window. Until the port completes, calls still hit RingCentral; after port, calls hit 3CX. There's no off-time. We've done dozens of these - it's a well-rehearsed process.
What happens to our existing RingCentral contract?
Depends on your renewal date. If you're mid-contract, RingCentral may charge a termination fee - usually worth it within 6–9 months given the cost saving. If you're near renewal, time the migration for after the contract ends. We help you calculate the right time to switch.
Can we keep our 1300 / mobile / landline numbers?
Yes - all Australian number types can be ported. Local-number portability is regulated by ACMA and works between any compliant carrier. We handle the port paperwork end-to-end.
