Core communications
3CX Web Client
The 3CX Web Client - make and take calls from any browser. No software install. Full PBX feature set including call queues, video, chat, screen share, voicemail and CRM popup.
What it does
The Web Client is the full 3CX phone system in a browser tab. Open your tenant URL, sign in (SSO with M365 or Workspace supported), allow the microphone, and you have:
- Calls - dial pad, contact directory, call history.
- Call controls - hold, transfer, conference, park, pickup.
- Queues - log in/out, see queue depth, take queue calls.
- Voicemail - listen, read the AI transcript, forward, delete.
- Video conferencing - start or join meetings without leaving the page.
- Screen share - during video meetings.
- Live chat - handle customer chat from your website.
- SMS + WhatsApp - unified inbox.
- Presence - see colleagues’ availability.
- CRM screen-pop (PRO and AI Edition) - incoming call pops the matching contact in your CRM.
Why office teams love it
- No install, no IT helpdesk ticket. New starter? Send them the tenant URL.
- Works on any device - desktop in the office, laptop at home, Chromebook on the plane.
- Works with USB headsets - Jabra, Plantronics/Poly, Logitech, Sennheiser all auto-detected.
- One tab for the whole phone day - no separate softphone app, no driver issues, no version mismatches.
Common questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open the URL we provision for your tenant in any modern browser, sign in, allow microphone access, and you're calling. Single Sign-On via Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace if you want it.
Will it work on a Chromebook?
Yes - Chromebooks are fully supported. We have customers on full ChromeOS-only deployments.
Can it replace a desk phone?
For most office workers, yes. Audio quality on a decent USB headset matches a desk handset. Reception desks, call-centre agents and warehouses often still want a physical phone - everywhere else, the Web Client is usually all you need.
